In case you don't follow me on Instagram, here is a quick recap of my latest beauty related posts. By the way, here is my Instagram link. Click it, I mean it. CLIIIIICK ITTTT! Follow me!

1. Beauty Sleep. I have difficulty sleeping, my brain just can't seem to shut down and rest. Desperate for a solution, I went in search for a remedy. Happily, I found 2 items that have so far helped with my sleeping problem. The first is the The Body Shop Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist. Phew, what a long name! The scent reminds me of my childhood Vitamin C syrup. I am not the biggest fan of the scent (chamomile and jujube dates) but hey it works! The second item is ThisWorks Sleep Balm. I believe I got this as a gift with purchase last year. The balm is a multi-purpose product. It has lavender oil to calm, Monoi oil to hydrate, and Rose oil to strengthen and purify dry skin as stated online. So far, I have only used it as a sleeping aide and it works very well. Its scent is definitely nicer than The Body Shop's spray but it is also a lot pricier. Highly recommend both products!

2. Lipstick Addiction. Yup, I have a problem. I got 2 lipsticks purely because I forgot to apply a lipstick when I went out and didn't had one in my bag either. I know, how spoilt am I? But I didn't spend a lot on them even though they were a highly unnecessary purchase. I swear I wanted to just get one but my drugstore (Watsons) was having a 2 for $9.90 promo on Maybelline ColorShow Lipsticks. The bargain aunty in me couldn't let that offer go and I ended up at the till with 2 lippies in hand. I got 103 Crushed Candy and 104 Pink Please. The colour payoff is pretty good, is not drying and the finish is similar to their ColorSensational Range. It is not matte or frosty but it does contain tiny shimmers that aren't obvious when applied. They also smell like candy! I honestly think they are one of the nicest smelling lipsticks I have.

 3. Luxury Makeup Haul. Sometimes, you just got to balance things out with some pricier beauty products. I jest. Do so only if you are feeling spendy and I was definitely feeling spendy when I logged onto Net-a-Porter to take advantage of their free shipping. I love Hourglass's Ambient Lighting Powder Blushers and Opaque Rouges (again with the lip product!). The blushers are a dream to apply and the Opaque Rouges are so luxe and pigmented. Wish I could get them all! Moving on to Charlotte Tilbury, this is my first time trying her eyeshadow palette and I have to say, it deserves all the raves it is getting. Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury...mmmm...DIVINE!

4. Canmake Cream Cheeks. Tiny pots of cheeky goodness I said on Instagram. They are nearly $20 a pop and for a drugstore product, I say there are fairly pricey. But thankfully, they are on discount many times a year. They are pigmented, apply great with fingers and the finish they give is just so natural and flawless. For a drugstore product, the shade range is pretty impressive too. Big thumbs up!
